Hickman County Courthouse located on the Centerville Public Square

For several years, the Hickman County Historical Society has participated in the annual Grinders Switch, formerly Duck River, Music & Arts Festival.   This event is a day (and into the night) filled with visiting with old friends and making new ones while enjoying arts & crafts, food, kids’ games, and live entertainment.

The historical society has its books available and answers questions (as best we can!).  This is a great time to revisit your old hometown or to experience this wonderful community.  ......AND, to have a great time!

Centerville is located about an hour from Nashville, Tennessee.  From Nashville, take Interstate 40 west, then exit 172, turning left onto State Highway 46.  At intersection of highways 46 and 100, turn right onto State Highway 100 and follow it to the Centerville Public Square.
